Upcoming Appearances

After a manic 2010, which included 3 solo exhibitions amongst other things, I decided to take a break from the gallery side of things to focus on some comic and toy projects. Those projects are all steamrolling ahead and I've decided to start hitting a few group events as I begin preparing pieces for my next solo exhibition.

First up is Pimp My MUF! An exhibition where various artists have painted/modified ukuleles as part of the annual Melbourne Ukulele Festivel. The exhibition opens this Saturday 26th February (6pm) at 303 High St, Northcote (Melbourne).

The following Saturday (5th March) is the launch of a new Melbourne-based comic publisher known as FEC. I'll be there along with a few other comic creators where I'll have a bunch of original Leroy illustrations and some prints. Copies of the 3rd edition of Lonely Monsters will also be available. This one kicks off around 3pm at The Little Mule Co. 19 Somerset Place, Melbourne CBD.

And then on the following Friday (11th March) I'll be taking part in the first in a series of group exhibitions titled ARTBOY VS FANBOY which kicks off at the Artboy Gallery (99 Greville St, Prahran). This is gearing up to be a fun exhibition as various artists provide their own spin on traditional video game characters/settings. My own ink/watercolour contribution can probably best be described as goofy brutality :-) The show opens at 6pm on the Friday and wraps up at 5pm the following Monday. I may also be having my art on regular display at Artboy, but I'll post info on that once it's been worked out.

So there we have it, back with a vengeance and other such things.

Matt
